Shoe sting!

It takes a lot of heat and pressure to mould a raw iron into an object of functionality! This has been just demonstrated by the ruling Congress at the centre just 2 days ago. The denying of tickets both for Mr.Jagdish Tytler and Mr.Sajjan Kumar speaks volumes of the risk mitigation and prompt response to cut down on any circumstances of controversy on the verge of the general elections by the Ruling Party.
This has to do with the kind of decisions the high command takes up in wake of the recent "Shoe Throw" incident on Mr. P.Chidambaram, Home Minister, by Mr.Jarnail Singh, journalist of Dainik Jagran news daily. The Nanavati commission which investigated the case on Anti - Sikh riots of 1984 which shocked the nation killing more than 2733 Sikhs in Delhi alone, quoted that Mr.Tytler and Mr.Sajjan Kumar would have instigated/were behind the riots. This was a case of probability and with no evidence reaching its final conclusion the two were given clean chit. The associated independent body CBI also took stock from the Nanavati Commission report and gave a clean chit to the duo. This again created a fury among the justice seekers of the Sikh community who went on rampage in Punjab, Delhi and other areas seeking the withdrawal of Ticket to the duo. Congress immediately took measures to settle the score and denyied the tickets to both Mr.Tytler and Mr.Sajjan. This brought about some relief and respite to the Sikh community.
What matters here is the speed and accuracy at which the high command takes its decisions avoiding a political, social controversy to the waiting opposition parties. Now taking another aspect of the same kind of incident which happend when the NDA government was at the centre was the Gujarat Riots of 2002 where thousands of Muslims were torched, killed, traumatised, and made to flee the State Capital Gandhinagar and Commerce Capital Ahmedabad, under the able leadership of Mr.Narendra Modi. Inspite of the international community not allowing Mr.Modi to visit any UK, US and other nations and looking at him from a communal voilence instigator, BJP in India under Mr.L.K.Advani is beating the trumpet saying Mr.Modi being the best Chief Minister India has produced ever.
In another incident which marked protests from the minority classes and also from other secular parties was the Inflamatory speech of Mr.Varun Gandhi in Philibit constituency. It was the action taken by the BSP government putting Mr.Varun behind bars and slapping a NSA against him to avoid any socio-econmic turmoil helped the matters settle down.
Looking at the incidents occured when BJP and Congress was in power, it filters down to the basic question that - How can you mitigate risk by taking corrective measures inside your own home? Congress has demonstrated this! But BJP never did it, either it avoids association with its own members making things even murkier or it simply rubbishes it off saying these are conspired by Media/Photography Trick etc.,
This kind of running away from the problems will put BJP's aspirations to come into the centre once again and rule the country into a Fix. It is high time that the single largest opposition party start thinking beyond Community, Caste, & Terrorism, and start looking at the evolving Voter who wants a peaceful living, economically stable and self sustainable life from the government at the centre.

Perhaps the Shoe-Throw incident should generate sufficient and significant insight not only to the ruling parties but other parties as well. Hail Jarnail Singh!!
